Default Conditions at Huron

Can anyone tell me if the river at Huron has iced up with this cold snap? Thinking about one last try after Christmas if conditions allow. Have the winds diminished and could the water be clearing up? Has the bite happened off the breakwall?

there is some skim ice on the river right now, but the lake is still at 39 and 40 degrees, the temperatures are supposed to warm a little this weekend, but who really knows. there has been a little activity off the pier, but not a lot yet. good luck and good fishin. for more info you can call me at 1-888-855-9032.

Default Huron

Seagull, try the Nitz pattern with the baits we talked about last week. Mike and I are going try to go out Sunday-Tuesday. Livebait and Flylund should be there also. Have a Merry xmas and see you Sunday.

Default Dancing shoes

Hey Tech.......... I'm just gonna bring dancing shoes and leave all my tackle behind. I've gotta call Carl to see what his plans are? Livbait is in for a surprise! We gotta get clip-ons also. The camera's need to be ready for this. When are you and Jeff heading out? I'm gonna call Carl (from the launch) tonight to get his thoughts. Paints almost dry, time for another coat. See ya Spanky/Spanky.

Default Nitz pattern

It's the pattern we talked about at your sons Barmitsva. You know the bait in the really good color, set at about the depth of my well out back. Oh don't forget to use the Flamm Shooter on this setup!

Default Nitz Pattern?

Excellent!! I'm proud of ya! It took several trips to Saginaw to develop the "Nitz". I did hear some radio talk on the "Nitz" while out in Huron over thanksgiving week. You know, when you listen to the radio and a group of guys are talking secrets language about "use the second bait I gave you yesterday...oh yeah, color..about the same as my inlaws house trim.. and fish those baits back about the distance from my mail box at the street to the front step!" Nothing like having your string stretched!!! especially when one utilizes a bit of JERKY BOY humor to understand. Merry X-mas to all of you. Mgwalli, plumbrboy, popia and catch 37 well see you on Sunday. You know it is always something with you guys!!!.A bunch of tough guys. I just drive cab, have toothache.... why you do dat???
