Huron

Is the launch at Huron frozen over yet? Was thinking of coming out after Christmas but with a 6 hour drive from Northern Illinois didnt want to arrive and not be able to fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Brian, there is some ice at the ramp, and on the river for a couple hundred yards to the north.the ice appeared to be about 1 inch thick, but there was some open water around the bridge pillers, and the water was way down too. there is a longer posting on the other reply too. the lake is rough, andit is supposed to warm up some by wednesday, so maybe we can get out yet this week. good luck and good fishin.
