Winnebago froze over on the 17th. The cold nights and calm winds put a nice layer of ice down. By the time I got home from work on the 20th, the lake was a mess. The wind kicked and broke it up really bad. The lake is full of cracks, ice heaves and open water. Most of the landings on the east shore were blocked by the ice piles along shore. Best advice I can give is find another lake. It's not worth the risk. They are driving on Poygan and Butte de Morts but I haven't heard any recent reports.
