I don't know what condition the ice is out from mouse island towards south passage, but there is open water runnung east from mouse. It is suppose to get cold tonite so maybe the ice will tighten up. What ever, be careful in that area.

Watch out for thin spots and wear some floation, or go get an air boat. My brother inlaw said he pulled his shanty today in the passage plus pulled a guy out that went thru. It does'nt look good.

There was more than one guy went through the ice today, but no injuries that i heard of. best bet now is STAY OFF the ice unless the guides say otherwise. be safe first then go fishin again. good luck and good fishin
