Petenwell Dam

Anyone know if the dam has been opened? Any catch reports?

Was ice fishing at Pete on Sunday. Fishing was slow. Did some scouting at Pete and Castle Rock dams. Both open and boaters had slight success with very very few legals.

Thinking about trying it this weekend going up on friday to check out the cabin then we will be fishing all weekend. will update you on monday.

Fished Petenwell on Sat and Sun two of us
caught 40 eyes total all between 14 and 14.75
inches none were legal plan to go back this
weekend.Have a buddy who fished Nekoosa last
week he had three 20 inch plus on friday and
a 7lb tuesday.Hope this helps.

LUND DUDE Fished dells on saturday caught 60 fish kept two 15 inch males. Fished The Petenwell dam on sunday caught lots of small fish did catch one 19 inch male that had a 6 inch perch in him. Uned both vertival jigging and live bait riggs. Key seemed to not anchor had to keep moving with the bow mount. good luck.
