We're heading to Erie the 3rd week of April. You need to have: Reef Runner Deep Divers, Rainbows, Watermelon, Clowns, Ristorap, Corn Cob, and Parrot Deep Divers. Off shore planer boards (two for each side) are a must. Line counting reels run your boards 100' behind the boat. Will fill you in on more pointers later. We're looking forward to our 5th Lake Erie experience. Still 10 pounder, the best I've caught so far is 9lb 14oz. Ozie |

Be Prepared for some rough weather - the last two of three years we there in late April we weren't able to fish. Fishing was phenomenal when you can get out to the reefs. Make sure you take jigs up to 1 oz if the water is rough....best of luck..

As the other posts mentioned . Fishng can and most likely will be good to real good by then ,"IF". The weather will do it's part !!! Weather premitting by then I am trolling off the reefs and scouting and or fishing the area between Niagara reef and green Island . The reef runners cranks, should be good along with spinners. After that the weather is really the key as to just where they are and what the will hit the best. If I were you I would watch this board and Take some notes as time to leave gets closer. The guys should be posting info on what's hot and what's not. Hope you catch a bunch !! Just save some for the rest of us :-) !!!!!
