Default Trolling Question

I am planning on trying to troll more this year on lake erie and was wondering if you can pull crank baits behind dipseys with success. I have always just used spoons but was wondering if other baits work as well?
Thanks RYan

Default RE: Trolling Question

You can pull the shallow running lures, like ripsticks, thundersticks, husky jerks, rogues. but the deep divers will not work. good luck and good fishin.

Default RE: Trolling Question

Shad raps often work pretty well behind Dipseys. For trout and salmon, however, no. 3 J-Plugs can often be hot. I think in general you are correct about spoons being best with Dipseys.
