Fished below the Dells dam last Thursday for about 5 hours, caught about 30 fish, mixed bag of whitebass, smallmouth, crappies and saugers.I had fished down river before but not at the dam. I caught all the fish on a 16th oz jig and minnow.I fished the edges of the fast water by the island in 10' of water. The whitebass ran up to 14"and most of the crappies were between 10 to 12".The saugers were around 14" with one walleye about 20".The smallmouth were all small but still fun to catch. Brought home 12 nice whitebass,8 nice crappies, released all the rest of the fish.I falleted the fish soaked them covered in milk overnight then ovenfried them and they were delicous. If it was'nt for the front that moved in,rain & wind would have done better...redranger
