What happened to all the walleye fisherman? Would like to know what is happening with the walleye fishing on GreenBay. Sick of hearing about bass only. Would like to come down Saturday or Sunday and try some of the fabulous walleye fishing in the bay. Could use some general info on where to fish, best times to fish, and what is the best tactic on catching some of these trophy walleyes that are in the bay.
Thanks for any info. |

Hogeye,
Notice how nobody responds to your posting? That's because of the many tourney's run here. Same thing holds true with Lake Winnebago. Anyway, at this time the fish are recuperating from the spawn. Your best bet is to fish at night in the same areas that are good before the spawn. I hear that Smallie fisherman are catching some walleyes in the Sawyer Harbor area. That would probably be a good place to start. I would fish the mouth of the harbor near the humps after dark and work my way into the bay. Be careful, though, because their isn't alot of water here. Good luck. |
