We are going to Pierre this coming week(06-03 through 6-10) Never been there before. Any ideas on where they are biting and what to use for lures/bait. Thanks for your advice.

Fish bottom bouncers and a 4ft or longer leader and plain hook with minnow or leech or crawler. Find points start 40 ft and go shallower make a note where you catch your first fish stay at that depth. I,m talking mostly fishing on Oahe launching out of spring creek or corps BAY OR THE RAMP ABOVE THE DAM ON THE WEST SIDE. But for my money this time of year I WOULD fish below the dam its not as deep below. fish the bluffs of FT Pierre

But for my money this time of year I WOULD fish below the dam its not as deep below. fish the bluffs of FT Pierre fish 20ft or less or the farm island area, but if you really want hot action head 18 miles east of Pierre on hwy 34 then 8 miles south there,s a big brown sign that says westbend it a beatiful state park take your bait and food with you there,s no store,s here you can fish point,s flats deep holes timber, you name it this is the place.I was there 3 day,s over memorial weekend the bite is very good. you can have 1 walleye over 18" and 3 from 15 to 18 " use same tatics here bottom bouncers and plain hook or spinner rigs.
