Default NE SD Fall Walleye Bite

I am considering a September/October trip to NE South Dakota and am looking for information on the fall bite. Best time, lakes, etc.

Thanks.

Default RE: NE SD Fall Walleye Bite

The fall bite is usually good on just about all the lakes. I don't know what Waubay will be like this fall, it was OK last year. Right now Bitter and Thompson are pretty hot, and I'd imagine that those bites will continue into sept. and oct. There are lots of lakes, and there's almost always one that's pretty hot. I would say that the best time is typically mid to late sept. for numbers, and Oct. for size. That's a generalization, it was a bit later last year because of the late freez up.

It's hard to get real specific here without writing a book, but if you want more info, either email me, or stop into the chat monday or tuesday night, I'll be there both nites.
