Default Wisconsin Dells info

I will be camping at Holiday Shores Resort (Upper Dells) the third week of June. I have never fished the Wisconsin River. Can anyone offer any info on the area? It is a family vacation so fishing time will be limited and I can't make any real long runs.
Thanks in advance.

Dave

Smallmouth bass are fairly active. Light line with small spinners tossed against shorelines. Small silver type mepps 1 or 2 size no hair. Walleye ok on crawlers or trolling shad raps or walleye divers. need to bump bottom a.m. and p.m's are the best.

Throw crankbaits at the rocky shorelines and cliffs you should be able to get a mixed bag in doing so. Don't go much south of the cable gets real shallow.

Fish the rip-rap downstream past the power lines for Stripers. Fish the "Hawks Beak" area with cranks for Walleyes. Fish the eddys at the Dam with minnows for Walleyes and Cats. Past the spillway is a long stretch that will get you large cats on Minnows with bouncers. Walleyes are generally very small. If nothing else works contact "Big Dave" for a days' guiding. He can be reached at Rivers Edge Marina. Dave knows the river like the back of his hand...JM
