Thanks Erie--Bolles Harbor
Finally had a chance to run over to Erie this past weekend. With all the good reports, I was chomping at the bit to go! Arrived at Bolles Harbor about 3PM on Saturday in the middle of lightening and thunder and a downpour. Finally got on the water at 5 or so and ended up with 8 keepers from 15-21" primarily on crawler harnesses with 4, yes FOUR ounces on the bottom bouncers. Only got one to go on cranks, that being a silver/blue rattling rouge. Nothing on hot and tots as I was reading on this board. Today was completely different. Got on the water at 6 AM and headed straight out of Bolles to the Michigan/Ohio line and fished 20' of water. Again, cranks didn't do the job but crawler harnesses with HEAVY bottom bouncers were the ticket. Four guys ended up with 24 walleyes between 15-22". Hammered gold or green blades were good and I think maybe one or two on firetiger 3/8th ounce hot and tots. The bonus today was the number of nice perch caught. We caught over 50 nice perch on everything from the crawlers to stinger spoons. It was great to get away for the two days and I appreciate everyone's information regarding this resource. THANKS
