I haven't heard any reports but I do know that the headboat out of Sawmill creek was perching near Kelley's so that should tell you something. I have been doing really well the last week off the NE corner of Kelley's. The perch are really turning on in that area.

SAT at 28/27 we caught our limit. Was steady but slow. The fish have been in this area for 2 weeks. Dont tell nobody. All th e walleye boats were going right by me heading out to the sandbar off Lorain. Sat. anything with siver seemed to work for me. Another boat was haing no luck so I gave them some Pa's lures purple/silver. They stopped by my house later and had picked up a 2 man limit. Took them 2 hours. All my fish were 25-28" they picked up a 31" 11 lb according to my trusty rusty Zebco fish scale. The fish are.

I meant to say the fish are there. The perch were very slow yesterday by Huron. I heard they were hitting off of Ford plant by beaverpark. Thats all I know.

Before GPS I would head out of Huron to 40 feet of water and troll east to Vermillion then troll back. It is still pretty much the way I fish. I would start in 40 feet troll east if no bites I would change depth of lures to 30 feet and 20 feet go deeper go to 43 feet or 37 feet. Or drift. Not trying to keep secrets but this is the way I fish and we seem to always have a freezer full of walleye by end of October. Not very accurate but in the next few months the walleye will be stacking off Huron and you can always look for the pack of boats.
I think the real trick is to fish for sheephead and you end up catching some walleye too.
