Fished Aurora Resv. yesterday morning. Buddy and I caught and released 12 walleyes between 13"-16", and lost 5 others. All but 1 were caught on a 1/4 ounce orange jig with half a crawler. Drifted the flat north of Senac cove (appreciated the report from 2 weeks ago) in 30-34 ft. Only action was first 3 hours then went after the perch and got somewhere between 70-80 in the next 3 hours. Enough to keep our 40 for dinner.

Haven't been to chatfield yet. Waiting till the water cools down and the water level comes up a bit. Lake seemed about 4 feet low three weeks ago.
What were you snagging? Kokes? |

Hey Neal,
Yeah, the wife had other plans for me that weekend. Saw the photos, looked like fun. But I did get away this past weekend as mentioned. No keepers, but a lot of fun nonetheless. Fished Brush Hollow Sunday but no 'eyes. Bass and Crappie. Water is way down and still pretty warm there. In a few weeks. Aurora should be pretty good this fall. Lou |
