Default Anybody get out this weekend?

I went back up to Elevenmile again. This time I hiked into East Bay on the north shore. I caught two small pike on a black/red gizzit with dead 4" shiner minnow in the back of the bay in shallow water. Later I moved to the mouth and fished deeper off the rocks. I caught a 28" Pike on a Chartruece Reaper in about 20 feet of water and had another bite me off. That was it for the day, but I at least got to bring home one fish for dinner tonight!

Got to Chatfield on Saturday morning about 5:30 a.m. Left at 5:30 p.m. Didn't catch a thing. We moved from the inlet to the roadbed and back. I saw fish move through twice, but wouldn't bite. Ice fishing sucks. Anyone want to buy a hand auger?

Did anybody see that article in the Post? I went out twice last week and didn't see anybody catch anything, much less any walleye. I can't wait till ice out though. There's always good fishing then.

Where are some good spots for eyes at Chatfield when the ice comes off? I've never been able to find them before they get real active on the roadbed.

We did good trolling a bottom bouncer around the inlet area and across the swim beach. We probably could've done better but the trout were biting real good at the same time so it was hard to keep your line in the water long enough to catch an 'eye.

I'm tinking about going to granby this weekend, just wondering if the ice is thick enough for a four wheeler? I'm also going to fish the rifle gap tourny on 11-26-02 .

Hey Art,
Were you spooning for those eye's? I was thinking about heading down there this weekend. So far I haven't been able to get a keeper Walleye at Chatfield just a bunch of dinks and few over 15". Hey Eric you just got a tip!

Troy,
I was using a blade bait about 3/8 oz. Funny thing is I only have one these baits and don't no the name of it. It's not a sonar, gay blade or cicada. I wish I could post a picture of it because the fish would slam it vevn after holing it in place for 10 sec.s after jigging it.

Are you going to be avalible on Sunday I would like to get with you. Are those fish biting all day long or just the twilight periods? have you tried moving shallower as it gets dark?
