HPD 1-19-02

Well we did a little better today than last Saturday. We ended up with 40+ Sauger and walleye. Actually only 2 walleye but they were legal. The Sauger are really nice size. All but 1 were legal and the majority were in the 15" to 17" range. We were working a horizontal presentation primarily but had some sucess with vertical as well. We also saw others having some luck vertically. We just fished the poles looking for a big one. I hung with Tom pretty well last week but he pretty much took me to school today. That's ok, I'm just sandbagging so he will bet me $2. I've got to get one of those portable heaters Tom has, they're great. We used it to heat our subs, warm our hands, burn holes in my gloves!!!!! Had a great time and am looking forward to the next trip.

ROFLOL!!!!!!!}> anyways had a good time and caught some real decent fish today. perfect weather for fishing eyes, i think all the fish we got were taken on hair jigs as thats what they seem to want, and as for the $2.00 thing HOW DO YOU THINK I GOT SO RICH?!!!!!!! Hey, you guys make me sick!:-) Sounds like you had another pretty good day up there. Dont think a person could have a bad day up there. Many boats up there Sat? Almost ran up today, but too many chores to get away. Not gonna be free Tom till the end of the week. I could probably go Thur. or Fri. Gotta go Wed. to the Veterans Hosp. to pick up my hearing aids. Get tired of trying to read peoples lips when I watch TV. :-) Let me know mid week if you can go. If not I'll probably be up for sure next weekend. Them bigger eyes gotta bite sometime. ;-) jb, you sure musta learned something. Not to bet Tom 2 bucks.lol Russell
