Walleyes in West Battle have been hitting in the shallows. The word is all bigger fish are hitting frogs right next to shore.....I didnt believe it either until I met the guy at the launch in Battle Lake he had pictures of northern pike and walleyes with pounds of frogs in thier stomach. I asked Rick at Osakis bait and he assured me that it was no B.S. His buddy caught 6 nine pound walleye in one night.. A little food for thought.....ice fishing with frogs....hope you got a 10 inch ice drill with a good touch for landing big fish if you want to try.. This guy was right off the access (H78) in Battle Lake. BIG EYES AND BIG PIKE OR MUSKIE. FISH ON!!
