Default Pyma

MY son and I are working our way up to pyma Sun of this week. We come up every year from South Carolina stay in Cabins or State camp ground on Ohio side. Spend most of our time fishing between the Island and campgroud. Anyway wanted to get some ideas of what is going on with the lake this week. Water temp?, Clear or muddy, have the fish moved out or can we still find some in shallow water? Like I said earlier we spend most of our time around the Island since my son is older now and able to fish for longer periods of time we would like to know where to put in on the North end and how to fish that side of the lake? What is lead core line? is there another name for it? Can we buy some at the duck and drake we usually get all our live bait from them. Thanks for any help GTE

I fished the north end this past saturday , the lake was high the water was up over the ramp, use the ramp on LEON road , I picked up all our fish in 8-14 ft of water on minnows, the lake was kind of murky and rough with all the rain, hopefully it will be cleared up this week, when fishing the north end.....watch out for stumps both submerged and sticking out 1' or 2' Ironicaly Im spending my vacation in South Carolina have a good time and enjoy the lake

GTE
WE fished Pymy last week and caught fish at all different depths but did best at 23 ft using floating jigs and crawlers. The surface water temp stayed at 56 degrees. The water level was higher than I can ever remember.
I'm not sure if the Duck and Drake has leadcore but there is a tackle shop on the left just before you get into Andover that does. Last Friday my boat got skunked but friends that were trolling got 10 keepers. Have fun!
