I live in Illionis and will be spending a week on Leech Lake, Mn. starting enxt weekend. I have been there a few times and am somewhat familiar with the lake. Looking for advise for this year. How is the bite?

Default RE: LEECH LAKE

I fished leech over memorial day weekend ... we fished portage bay..the best bite was at night trolling #13 bk and gold repala's..we also did have very good fishing the cabbage weed beds during the day when there was wind.(Use crawlers and leeches) Be persistant and the fish will bite in streeks..at least for us they did. We were able to bring home 36 ( 6 guys limits.) Good luck! P.S We did get alot of nice perch too.
