I was fishing northwest of rocky river in 45-52 ft. of water and nothing but white bass. I marked allot but couldn't get any of the big marks to hit. Marked more in that depth range than out deeper so I thought I would give it a try. Also marked more the west of rocky river than the east side. Didn't have much time to get out deeper. Going to try in the evenings. Too much traffic during the weekends, the speed boats flying by like that don't see you was starting to get annoying. Will post if I get out this week, weather has been alittle crazy lately.
Good Luck!!

Tim,
They are doing well just west of the bar. You may want to trailer west a bit.

I hear ya on that one. I was trying to get them in my back yard. I hate to take it out there and battle the packs. My buddy got his dispy snagged by another troller on Friday. The guy was a shadow of him, if he went north the guy went north. He goes south, the guy goes south. Until he final got his dispy than the guy final left him. I could see snagging the boards, but snagging the dispy is pretty bad. I'm sure we all know that story. I think my next choice will be off avon trolling west. I'm sure there's some off the east side of the bar. Thanks for the info.
Good Luck!!

Indeed. I'd be greatly surprised if you couldn't do well between the dump and the bar.

I'll being heading out tonight off rocky river. If anybody else will be out there give me a shout on ch. 68, boat name dollyann. Should be on the water by 7:00pm. I'll report what I find tomorrow. Also thinking of trying that dog colored stinger spoon for sharks. You think I should scent the spoon for that program?;)
Good Luck!!

Tim,
Would appreciate any recent Steelhead reports off of Rocky River if you know of anything before the weekend. We haven't gone after them for 3 weeks now - been getting our eyes on the sandbar N of Vermillion. There's a chance I may be out of Lorain Thurs evening also looking for eyes.
Thanks,
Steve Carlson

Steelhead have been a few here and there. Nothing in numbers. I would hear 1 or 2 in 65-70ft of water. north of cleveland. If I hear anything I'll let you know. I went out last night and it was a beautifull night. We only ended up with one walleye around 2 pounds for two hours of fishing. We were northeast of rocky river about 3 miles out in 55ft of water. Caught the one on a watermelon worm harness, on the #3 dispy 130 back. Seem like the fish didn't come up till it was close to sunset. MArked them mostly on the bottom. There were nets just a mile or so out northeast of rocky, just outside the channel. Also with all the rain we had there's allot of logs out there around the mouth. Hope to get out saturday.
Good Luck!!
