Just got back from Sand Bay Beach Resort (just Southwest a few miles of Sturgeon on the bay) run by Dale Stroschein who everyone says is the best guide up that way. He was out last Wed. and got a 10 pounder. He fishes at night in the bay, trolls in 12' of water. The weather was pretty windy and cold, but what does one expect up there?

Great guy, call him and ask 1-888-879-5548.

I would check with Capt. Carl Grunwaldt, Dale is good, but fishes a limited area (I have heard). YOu might check with someone that fishes from Bago to Bay de Noc.

Good luck,

PS: He is out with two of my friends from NM today 10/8.

Maybe one of the best guides should give a report. I would if I was a captian.

I can't speak about right now but I do know that Dale S. used to do most of his guiding in the fall up in Little Bay DeNoc but I believe that with his guiding service being tied in with his resort now all of his fishing is done in that general area. Anyone who is familiar with Dale knows he used to fish on the pro walleye tour and you would be hard pressed to find anyone more knowledgable when it come to fishing walleyes, no matter where you are.
