Default Fairmont, Mn. Area Walleyes

Heading to the Fairmont, Mn. area to visit relatives for the holidays. How is the ice and is anyone finding any walleye action?

Havent fished the Fairmont area for many years, but used to catch a bunch of perch in Hall lake there. There are several lakes in the general area. One other thing you could do, is head to Big Spirit, or West Okoboji in Iowa and give that a try. Spirit has been producing some nice perch, and walleyes, and West has yet to be tested very much because of lack of adequate ice, but it is just around the corner, unless the weather pattern continues like it was today.
