Default Glendo?

Well, a couple of weeks ago I decided to just put the ice-fishing stuff away and concentrate on breaking in the boat. This, of course, has brought on a good deal of cold weather. (Sorry I didn't think of it sooner guys...)

Can I get on the ice at Reno or over by the dam? (rock strewn containment device, should the last word get wacked...)

If so, how much ice are we looking at? It's a 3 hour drive for me but I would do it if it's good...

While we're waiting to hear from our local Glendo contact, Glendoeye, I'll guess that before this little cold snap, he was using his boat, not tip-ups.

I spoke with a guy at Curley's in Douglas on Monday. He said the entire lake was iced over with ice ranging from 2 inches to 10 inches. All this cold weather, you should be able to get on the ice at the marina or at the dam. He said the tihicker ice was in Elkhorn and around Reno Cove. Didn't have much faith for the ice arounfd the dam but with this -20 degree weather I bet there is a good 5-6 inches now.

I just hung up the phone. The dude at Curlys told me you can ice fish just about anywhere you want to go after the recent cold spell. He said the ice is hard,30 below hard with some snow on it. I might be checking it out on Sunday for myself.
