Been pretty slow. The fish were still deep as of last weekend. 25-40 feet of water. I'm guessing the bite is still about 2 weeks from taking off. Good luck!

Fish are shallow also as of a week ago. Pitching jigs to the shallows is working well. 1/8 ounce or less, depending on weather.

My daugter and son-in-law have made their home in Parkston so I will be visiting the area several times a year now. I have a 16 and a half foot boat with only a 25hp motor. Is that big enough to handle Francis Case or Lake Sharpe? Also where would be a good place to start? I have only a desire to catch fish and not only walleyes but the smallmouth fishing has certainly perked my interest. I would appreciate any info and you can e-mail me at lrolson@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance. LO
