Fished below Safe Harbor, from 10-3pm caught 3 one was 20". Slip trolling with crankbaits. Water temp was 58. Now here's a question. The 20" fish's stomach was full of yellow Maple leaves? Anybody ever seen this before? Maybe next week I troll a 5 of diamonds spoon.

Wallrous..We see the same thing in the Susky up here in NY. I was told that there's some kind of larvae that attaches to the bottom of the leaf. Apparently that's what they're after. I was going to try trolling a glob of leaves, but couldn't figure out how to hook them! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Thanks for the insight. I'll be back out this weekend and I'll look a little more closely as those leaves. Good luck up in N.Y.
