Default Potholes Bite

Any reports from Potholes lately? Plan on heading that way this weekend and am wondering if the blade bite is still steady.

The bladebait bite has been good for while now. 2-3 weeks ago cranks and spinners were working as well. The water temp is in the low 40's as of last weekend and it looked like blading was doing better that other techniques. bb

Here is a Picture of a nice #9.20 my friend Jeff caught last weekend at Potholes. He was using a bladebait.

Have they been hitting southeast of Goose Island still? We were finding them in 25 foot depth around the humps 2 weeks ago. I'm sure they've dropped deep in the last 2 weeks.

We got most of the 19 keeper-sized walleye in less than 12 ft last Saturday, 11/8. We fished several humps until we found some active fish. We caught almosty as many largemouth bass as walleye. bb

Heading over from saginaw michigan for the thanksgiving festivities at the in-laws. Brother-in-law wants to fish the potholes, it will be the first time for the both of us. Any help as to general areas and tackle, techniques would be a real help. Thanks. rc

Stop in at Mardon Resort and they'll give you the latest and greatest. Goose Island is only a 3 min. boat ride from the resort.
