Anybody got info on Hayward ice? Moose Lake? The Chip'?

Looking to drive up to Hayward in 2 weeks. Anyone got a read on conditions, bite,and thickness of the ice? need to know if we should bring the power auger.

Last weekend Round, which is the last to freeze over had approx.4" of good ice. Eyes bit fairly well, no northern though. Ice should be great for Xmas- New years weeks! Be safe and use CS!!

There's a good amount of ice there now. 6 inches or so.
I would watch out for the River Channels and current on the Chip if you've never been there. Check out Pastikas.com in Hayward for some good info.
