Default Table Rock Lake

I was thinking of heading to Table Rock on the 3rd week in March to do some smallmouth bass and/or walleye fishing. I'll be taking my 13 year old and 7 year old boys, also. My 13 year old wants to hook into some large smallmouth. Can anybody give me any tips or insight on fishing there?
Thanks

Indian Point would be an excellent area to stay. We used to go to a resort called the Tribesman and they catered to children as well as adults. Check them out. As far as fishing you can find LM Bass, Gills, Crappie and Walleye in Power Line Cove. Power line Cove is across from Indian Point and the Tribesman. If you stay at the Tribesman be sure and ask them about the damaged props they have on the docks. Those were damaged going around the point towards the marina. Go to the left side of that little island, the right side is full of stumps.

Table Rock Lake is HUGE and you will enjoy it very much. Like all large lakes watch the wind.

I have not fished this lake in years, but when I did fish it in March ...here is what I used.
For smallmouth, largemouth, and Kentucky( spotted)bass.
The money ticket was a plain 1/8oz. jighead and either a smoke with metal flake or rootbeer with metalflake grub fished in anywhere from 4-32 ft of water. If the water is gin clear, make real long casts and use 6# test line. Go east and west of Indian point and hit all of the points and coves on the northern part of the lake, they warm up faster. In addition, look for groups of shad in deeper water and drop a spoon such as a little cleo down below the shad. And lastly, don't forget to pitch jigs all around every large covered boat dock. I usually stay away from the dock with boats in the stalls, but at this time of year many docks may be empty.Good Luck..
