Still a bunch of sauger and small eyes being caught. A few piggies are starting to show up. There was one caught that went a bit over 14#. Pics were taken and she is still swimming! Thinking that its time for me to head down also. Reports are that it's bumper boats up by the dam, but there is a lot of water to fish. Bigger fish have come from plastics in shallower water ( < 10 ft ), most of the sauger and smaller eyes have been in 14 - 20 ft.
Good luck Dean Thorn |

Was there yesterday for a good chunk of the afternoon, was not there early a.m. or late p.m. and it was slow. I boated 4 fish and only one was a keeper 16.5" walleye. The other fish were 2 13-14" sauger and one 14.5" walleye. Most everyone had similar results. I guess a few bigger fish were caught at the dam too. Three fish came from the boat parade at the dam and one came from downstream quite a ways. I missed a few other bites as well. Hair jigs and ringworms in 14-18' of water. I would be willing to bet that as the water warms up over the next couple weeks, the bite will heat up. The male keeper I caught was starting to milt. Hope that helps. Bret
