Went out Friday night. Water was stained so I loaded with the bright colors: clown and firetigers. From about 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm we trolled the whole area; in close and far out, nothing. The wind realy picked up and the waves were beating us up further out so we came towards the white light on the second bend. We had realt good marks from half way up the wall around the bend and especially further out, but no takers. Since the brights didn't I put a black and silver, 17' back on the inside rod. Within minutes we had one on on it. We were still out in the wind and waves ans as soon as you left the stearing the boat was doing a 180, the hard top acts like a sail in the wind. We did loose the fish with all that mess. We got onther hook up on the black and silver just as we made it behind the wall, we had good protection from the wind so we boated this one. Reloaded everything with black and silver and blue and silver and for the next hour and a hlf it was all a beautifull song and dance. Though we only boated four fish, we lost three more at the boat and had at least six more nice pull backs, all in all we had atleast 14 fish on within that time, which is not bad, 15'-20' back. This fish just can't stay with the program, don't they know that bright colors work best in murky water, lol, I guess not. I felt like saying a whole story since there might not be to many left for the year. Any way I'll be there tonight off the rocks. Inside the intake should work fine with this wind.

Tight lines!

Let me know how you do - I never made it out over the holiday weekend. Would like to try one more time before I put the boat away.

Ended up taking the last trip of the night and ended up with 9 in the boat to finish off the season. lost two right behind the boat and had a handfull of really good pull backs, so we had at least 16 bites or so, glad we went the weather is going to be crap soon, boat has to get winterized also. Firetiger 20-40 back was a the ticket with blue chrome only taking one fish, all on boards no flatlines, no hogs either 3 fish where around the 6-7 lb mark....Fishcrazy got his limit I think

We did get our limit (see photo) and the fish were mixed from small to 8 lbs. Our program was mixed also, up to the 8th fish the shallow and deep divers were even; 4 and 4. Then the shallows took off and got the last 4 fish while the deep divers quit. The deep diver reffs were from 20' to 40' back, red nose wonder bread, emerald shinner and orange/yellow belly; they all pulled in fish. The shalow huskys were 20' back, blue and silver, fire tiger and clown (very productive). The fish really turned on after 9:30 pm and we were done by 11:30 pm. We didn't lose any fish but had a few pull backs. Behind the east end of the wall, in front of Brethenol was the honey hole for us.

The fish can be caught all along the shore; E 72nd and Edgewater in the Cleveland area. Some nights real good and some real bad, but they are arond; just like in the boat: you can be in one spot for hours and don't get any and someone else 1/4 mile away gets doubles and triples. All I can say is that the fish are in and the more times you go the more chances you have.
