Going to fish early spring muskies on the Madison Chain. Any input as tp which lake may have a higher population of fish, Mendota, Monona, or Waubesa?

Monona and Waubesa. Monona generally has bigger fish, Waubesa may have better numbers of fish. Try Monona Bay right now.
Wingra has a very high nuber of muskies per acre, but they run smaller. you'll be lucky to get one approaching 40" out of Wingra. Good luck. |

On Monona where do you recommend for this early in the spring. Water temp was 52 about a week ago?
