Default Muskies on Madison Chain...

Going to fish early spring muskies on the Madison Chain. Any input as tp which lake may have a higher population of fish, Mendota, Monona, or Waubesa?

Monona and Waubesa. Monona generally has bigger fish, Waubesa may have better numbers of fish. Try Monona Bay right now.

Wingra has a very high nuber of muskies per acre, but they run smaller. you'll be lucky to get one approaching 40" out of Wingra.

Good luck.

On Monona where do you recommend for this early in the spring. Water temp was 52 about a week ago?
