Default Huron,Castle,Vermillion/EYES

Looking to fish a little closer to home, had some very nice fish over the weekend once we found
them! (thanks Brian) NE Kelleys, target zone 37-43 FOW...Area was getting very conjested though,
making for a tough troll! Planning on fishing Sat-Mon weather permitting! Appreciate any reports in
the Huron to Vermillion area! Thanks Jack ........COOLERKING 79

Fished that area sunday and it was tough. Around 33 fow had great marks but I couldn't get em to go. Tried jets, dipseys, and boards, with stickbaits and spoons. Seemed tough for everyone. I hope it turns on with decent weather. I heard a few guys with 15 or so, I got only 2.

Hey Jack,we hooked up with 7 nice sized 'eyes' on Saturday.Took 6 hrs. though. We were right in front of the castle,28 fow,the only thing we found that worked was persistence. We just kept hammering the hooks in front of 'em.Dipsy's/spoons,jets/spoons,RR back 120.Slow bite,an incredible amount of marks.I guess you have to keep experimenting to get 'em to go.If any color worked best,I would go with purple.Good Luck

We ended up with 7 on Saturday with one fish O and one 27in. The others 19 to 23". In 34 fow in front of castle the screen was just full of fish. You would think you would snag one as thick as they were. Took all on Reef runners. 100 to 125 back behind inline boards. Wonderbread and Mooneye Minnow accounted for all. Had a couple other pull backs also. One on a ripstick off leadcore. Leader broke from leadcore so don't know what is was.

Saturday caught a limit in 5hrs just west of the castle 18-24 feet. One 6 and one 6.5 the rest were 4-2 lbs. Caught 4 on bottom with harness the rest on reefrunners purple demon seem the best 40' behind the board. Sunday same place could only catch 10 in 7hrs all 18".

Took 6 Sunday, 71/2 the bigest in 27 to 30 foot. Like everyone else it took half a day to get them. Did best on RR back 125 on flat line (boards did nothing) and 0 dipsy back 45 with small confusion. If you get a couple stay on them because active groups are far and few between even though you mark tons of fish.

Sorry it took so long to answer. I've been in Cinci with no computer. Yes it was the Big Reef Runner Deep Divers.
