I fished due North of E 72nd St. in 51'-60' on Sunday morning and boated 22 walleye. Only caught fish in the 52'-55'. Not one of them has larger than 16.5". I let every single one of them go. Only got a few junk fish too. I did lose two nice fish but, never got a look at them. Lost both while taking off the inline boards.
Has anybody been getting nice fish in this area? Tom |

:-) We fished the breakwall about a mile or so out Saturday nite and caught a bunch of those little guys about 12/13" or so. Moved into the breakwall just a little after dark and hooked up with just one nice keeper (25 incher) and 1 rockbass. I do believe that there was some sort of a hatch that day as we saw a bunch of larva skins laying on the top eariler that day as we perch fished, which I think made the bite that nite slow. What ever hatched that day gave the perch & walleye plenty to eat, which is what I think ruined our day. We only caught 4 lousy keeper perch and that 1 eye'. :(

Two evenings ago, straight out, 47 ft. of water, trolling spoons on dipseys in two hrs. we landed 6 keepers...2-29", 1-27", & 1-24" and two between 15-19" along with half a dozen throw backs. Trolling 36' down...was a great two hrs. before dark. Small spoons, 1.6-1.8 mph. Jets at 3 & 1 --- around 100 back on counters. Wish we had been able to start earlier. They don't show up well on finders, but, they were obviously there. Going back tonight...same bat time, same bat channel.
