Default Huron Area

We are making our anual fall trip to Huron , we'll be fishing fri-sun. out of Huron.. My question is if I have to head east to the sandbar area . Is it a waste of time using our #'s from previous years closer to Huron? The area due north out of the the river 5-9 miles & to the east to the castle area? Any suggestions? By the looks of the noaa weather reports hopefully things may lay down and and the water clarity will improve.. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. RMoore

The GLWC tourney is going out of Cranberry this weekend, so you probably won't get a lot of specific info. The water temp has dropped over 5°F in the past week, which may get some fish to move west, but the good fishing recently has been east of Cleveland.

Before this weeklong blow the fish were NW of the N side of the sandbar. How this blow and 5-10 degree drop in water temp affected the fish is anybodys guess. Last couple of years the sandbar (east and west cups) seemed to outproduce the inshore areas off huron for me at least.

If its rough id try inshore off ruggles. Depending on water clarity of course.

If those fish have migrated south west then the area N. of huron that you describe might be hot. The bottom line is we will be burning some 3.00 a gallon gas looking for the fish again!

Historically, the previous years waypoints can produce but will they? This has been a really strange year.

At least the weather is acting like it's supposed to now, blowing like a SOB from the NE.

Good luck and tourney or no tourney I'll share info on 79 this weekend.

EXEXEC------talk to you Sat! Lets find em!

There were boats doing well at the 27's last weekend. You might want to give that try rather than running way out on the sandbar.
