Now that's more like an average day of catching for our buddy vetspet. Just about moved in to the new place and you and I both know those salmon are waiting for me to come out and play.

What happened? Did the water get dirty? Coho are normally very dependable. I've been out twice myself at the mouth and limited within an hour.

The ditch was a mud hole on Saturday morning 3-11. We dumped in at around 6:00 and shot right to gary light not wanting to deal with the mud or the boat circus that was about to insue. Got quite wet on the ride over but we were done with our 2 man limit in short order. Last fish went in the box at 8:17, 9 coho and 1 brown about 5 lbs. Let 2 shakers go. Red thin fins, jointed firetiger raps off boards; spoons and dodger/flies off dipseys all took fish. The stiff SE wind made boat control tricky with the wave reveb of the wall.
If anyone found a right side offshore board with Church clip on front and a red offshore on the back let me know. It came unbuttoned a turn and we couldn't locate it on the way back. -cranker2 |
