yeah.. .not sure why anyone would want to be quiet about a good bite. I'd surely share it with my thousands of internet freinds everytime.
The bite is on!! B.B. |

My buddy fished that area (middle harbor buoy) and had two limits yesterday by 9 a.m. HOWEVER, he was also out there today and by 1030 had not a single fish! He didnt see a whole lot of nets go down either. Apparently the fish have moved on :(
Small craft warnings may be needed on Sunday afternoon, so be careful out there. |

BB.........I understand, but it is not like this one is tucked away somewhere up near the border, all 5000 rigs in west harbor just about have to travel thru this pack to get anywhere.Pretty tough to keep it a secret, the word might just get out when everyone sees nets in the water as they motor past if ya know what I mean. It is just interesting to see how long the "secret spot" has stayed off of here, and off the grease boards at the bait shops....."Go west young man...Go west...." With Marina gas at $3.15/gal middle reef is going to get pounded regardless of what gets mentioned here. Rick, don't know how long it will last, but we (and the rest of the 6packs and heads) turned limits of eaters in less than 2 hrs yeterday 1/4 mile off of the East harbor beach just like the "old" days. Get out and get them before they get back over to Canadian waters....

Its always fun having to fish in the middle of 5000 boats. The reason nobody wants to put it on here is because when you get too many boats in one area it seems to shut the bite down. This is relatively shallow water after all. Isn't anybody capable of finding their own fish or do we all have to rely on someone else to tell us where the hot bite is. If you see marks on the sonar, try for them.

We'll be leaving Gem Beach at about 7:00 tomorrow morning looking for eaters. I'll be on channel 79. We have to head in by 12:00 or 1:00.
There'll be three of us in a white 22' Pursuit with a green bimini. Hopefully, the 2 - 4 footers will stay closer to 2'. Rick |

I've been watching this site for a month, this is the best site for good information that I've ever seen!
I was in that tournament this last weekend. The fish you guys have in your backyard are incredible. Most guys fished up in Canada around Pelee. The others were on the east side of Kelley. The amount of fish caught was amazing. The average 5 fish limit was about 30 lbs. Top team for two days had 77 lbs for 10 fish. The biggest fish was 12 lbs. Just wanted to give some information. THANKS! |
