Default Kelly's bite non existant, out west in on, STILL!

Saturday 8-5 Well guys I had to try the "Bite" off Americal Eagle, heck it's only 4 miles from the harbor. What a waste of time that was. Sat am went out in 2-4 footers and drifted for about 3 hours for nausea and sheephead. Didnt see any nets going down either. Thought about trolling towart the se corner but the salad was too thick. The walleye are not there. At least for me anyway.(Now lets hear the report of someone getting 20 eyes there saturday).

Sunday was another story. Went west of Green and started metering. Saw lots of small marks on the bottom. Went 3 miles north toward NW reef. Graph didnt look any better. Headed west and got into fish about 7-9 miles west of the monument. The fish are there. Lots of fish in the 17-20 inch range. Limits were the norm in this area.
Limited in 2 hours once I got them patterned. The fish were in the 20-24 foot range in 32 feet of water. The usual spread.

Go get em boys, head toward the triangle. West of w. sister about 3-5 miles and on to the north toward F and G cans.

Limits are the rule not the exception.

Good luck. Paulywog

Paul,
Got 11 fish sw of Kellys on Friday night, 3 guys, ran out of day light. Only fished 3 hrs.

Pull 5 fish Sat buy myself, off the water at 9am.
I pulled 3 fish in 45 min at first light, after that it was slow.

Just trolled dipsy's with the waves on sat.
NW of kellys it was more like 3-5's on sat.

Paul, thanks for the post, I may get on the water Wednesday evening, and Thursday. I tried AES last Thursday by myself, and struck out too. One spike in several miles of trolling. Moved to West Reef area and the motor started to act up at idle, so i took the hint and took her to the doctor. I am going to give another whirl, don't know whether to give AES another shot after jonny's post, or go NW.........what do you think...?

Hardtop,
I would go east of Kelly's, I heard of several good reports.
That's my guess where those fish went, I heard tibbles was SE of kellys on Sat.

Fish were hitting steady in front of Cedar Point on Sunday. Very few boats in the area. Anywhere from 32-42FOW on harnesses. Thermocline is at about 30 feet.

Hardtop, I know its a longer run but I would go to about 5 miles NW of Middle Bass Island and troll west. There is, and has been, a big school of eyes from west of NW reef, up to the canadian line toward G can to west sister. But, AES is so close that I suppose it's worth a try. But, my gas money is heading west!

Good luck. Hot colors on the spoons were pooh bear, chartruese pooh bear and Ray's raspberry dolphin.

I also heard that chicken wings was good. I don't really think it matters much just get your lines in that 20-25 foot range and troll about 2.3mph. It's really nice to catch straight eyes and a few white bass. There were not any sheephead in this area. Usually we get a ton this time of year.

Good luck all, I hope this helps. Go get em! Paulywog
