Default PENNSYLVANIA OPENER

Well, its been a couple of months since my computer crashed. I lost all the personal info I had from this site, including the email addresses of those I had traded information and planned to fish with. Saturday is the opener and I'll be casting jigs tipped with pieces of crawlers or Gulp. I just need to decide where on the Allegheny I'll fish. It will be either Braeburn or the mouth of Buffalo on the Allegheny. Any suggestions out there??

I've never been to the mouth of the Kiski. I did hear that the river is cleaning up, no more or very little orange(iron). How is the fishing, especially the walleye fishing? Before I retired, I visited the Leechburg Mining Company in Brownstown and often wondered if anything would ever be able to survive in the water. The old joke of the crawfish walking across the bridge in Apollo rather than swimming the river always seemed like a reality and not a joke. Where does the Kiski enter the Allegheny and how do you get there? What is the best way to fish it? Hope the opener treats you well!!

I am going to sit Sat. out, but plan on heading out Sun. to Braeburn if the river drops enough. I'll be trolling up by the dam. Ken

With all the industrial waste seeping into the river are these fish safe to eat?
