Default Ice/snow conditions on Lac Seul

Does anyone know what the ice/snow/slush conditions are like this year on Seul? I would like to know how it is compared to previous years. I am hoping for an early spring/ice out, just found the fishing better in those years.

It will still be ice covered when you get there on April 1, "Rob"!

I just got back from our cottage a week ago (40 miles south of Lac Seul). The ice on our lake was not over 12 inches thick and there was slush about everywhere, with the snow about knee deep in the bush. There were very few ice houses on the lake, because the only way you could get them out there is by snow machine. I am sure temperatures will dictate ice out, but unless things change is does not look like there will be much to melt, and as for water levels, it can snow a lot between now and May.

I'm south of there..ice about 16in lots of slush. Reasonable snow in the bush. Lots can happen but January is almost gone. Time to go have a look at the Lund to see how she's doing.
