River Fishing Report for Pools 9-11 |
Updated 3/19/03
Water Temp 34 degrees
Finally all 3 pools are accessible to any size boat. At this time the river is rising fast due to all the melt off. But be careful because there is still a lot of ice floating on the river. All 3 dams have a pretty slow bite going on. There's lots of small fish to be caught jigging, but the nicer fish seem to be rather finicky right now. Darker colors seem to be working the best for me, possibly due to the stained water. A slow presentation has proven to be the best for what legal size fish that are being taken. In the past few days most of my nicer fish have been taken by handlining with small rapalas. # 9 being the best size. As soon as the fish start hitting a little better I will post another report and try to break the pools down and be more specific.
