Dan Wheaton, and Ted Koplin captures First place in the Illinois Walleye Trail 2nd Tournament of 2003 season.

56 teams from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa participated in the Trails second event for the 2003 season on the Illinois River, Spring Valley, Illinois. 

The Team of Dan Wheaton, Naperville, and Ted Koplin, Yorkville, won $2,450.00 with a 6 fish limit weighing 14# 2.5 ounces. Ted and Dan caught their fish downstream of the Valley pulling double jigs and minnows. 

Placing second was the team of Stever Hunter from Mahatten, Illinois and Don Farrell from Ottawa, Illinois with a 6 fish limit weighing 12# 2.5 ounces earning them $1,350.00. 

The third place team of Mike Richetta, Spring Valley and Croy Blair, Cherry, Illinois took third place honors with 10# 14.5 ounces earning them $800.00. 

Big Fish Honors went to the father and son team of Tom Giachetto Sr. and Tom Jr. with a 3# 11.5 ounce Sauger paying $550.00 and they also tied for fourth place earning them an additional $280.00        Complete results are posted on www.prairielandeyes.com
