PA's
Level Lure
Any
weight forward spinner ever designed does the same thing. Cast it out, let
it down to a desired depth, it is then retrieved on an angle. If the fish
are suspended at 6,8, or 10 feet, you pass through one small area of fish.
PA's Level Lure is designed with a small bill, slight angle, and a special
weight construction. When we cast it out and leave it down to a desired
depth it has a tendency to retrieve at that depth for a long period of time,
thus increasing the distance of your strike zone. This lure is extremely
productive in shallow water, over reefs, and in weed beds.
PA's
5/8 & 3/4 OZ. Deep Diving Lures
Put a large bill and a big angle on this style lure, and now all this lure
wants to do is dive.
This lure
is designed for casting, drifting, and trolling. When casting the lure it
will have a tendency to first dive when retrieving, hit a depth where the line
will not allow it to go any deeper, and then start an upward turn. This
enables the lure to have action when going down and also coming up.
If you
pick up a nice drift and you want to fish in deeper water, instead of leaving
out 150 to 200 feet of line to get down in 25 to 35 or even 40 feet of water,
our lure will get you down to these desired depths leaving out about half as
much line. In the past few years, many, many fishermen have noticed that
the water they have been fishing in is now getting a lot cleaner, thus causing
the fish to go deeper. This style lure will not only get you down to these
depths without leaving all this excess line out, but it will stay there.
Other lures have a tendency to rise when the drift speed increases. This
style lure is also made in a 3/4 oz., for fishermen who fish in water 40 to 70
feet deep with great success.

Trolling
our lures
Our
5/8 oz. Level Lure can be trolled from planner boards, down riggers, and
many other ways. When using the boards in shallow water, leave out the
lure to the desired depth you want, start to troll, speed 1.2 to 1.5 m.p.h.
This lure will have a tendency to stay at that depth. Leave out
additional line to get the lure as far away from the boat as you want.
PA's
5/8 & 3/4 Deep Diving Lures
PA's
Fishing Lures run straight, true and deep. Leaving out 150 feet of 14 to
17 pound Monofilament line, at a speed of 1.2 to 1.5 m.p.h. our 5/8 oz. lure
will go to a depth of about 35 feet. Our 3/4 oz. lure will get you around
the 50 foot depth. Change the trolling speed, faster or slower, and our
lures will rise or go deeper. Also the depths can vary by the amount of
line you leave out. The less line you leave out the higher they will run,
the more line you leave out the deeper they go.
Many
fishermen have taken off the hook on our diving lures and added a worm harness
with great success. They use this method drifting or trolling.
Others have taken off our hook system and put on a 48 to 60 inch leader and
troll some type of plastic lure behind our diving lure. They find that our
diving lures assist in getting their plastic lures down to new and deeper
depths. Fish that used to be found up high are now being found deeper due
to the clarity of the water.
Recommendations
-
Use
PA's Level Lure in water under 20 feet for best results.
-
Our
5/8 oz. diving lure is not recommended for use in water under 20 feet deep.
Since this diving lure continues to dive even on a normal retrieve, in
shallow water this lure would be dragging the bottom in a short period of
time, thus causing the possibility of snagging. Recommended for use in
depth of 20 feet and deeper.
