Last year we had league five nights. We started fishing at 6:00 p.m. And quit at sunset. Each team was allowed to count five Walleye , the fish were measured for length not weight. We have two area Lakes with an a 15 mile radius of Aberdeen. We fished two nights on each of the two area lakes, and one night at a good Walleye lake about 45 miles out of town . We also had three tournaments. The tournaments where held on either the Glacial Lakes or over on Lake Oahe. The night before a tournament we have a picnic. Every one seems to enjoy that. A boat is not needed to fish in any of our events. We don't want to eliminate anyone that does not have a boat. The people on shore can also fish in the events. This way no one is eliminated.
The NESDWC will be working the gates at the Great Outdoor Show at the Barnett Center on April 4th, 5th & 6th. The club will also have a booth setup. Jim Schumacher will be setting up a machine that respools fishing reels. The cost will be around $3.00 per reel. Jim thinks the club can make about $200 profit doing this project. The main objective is to inform the public of the existence of NESDWC, our Mission Statement and also sell as many raffle tickets as possible.
If you have some extra time on your hands and would like to help the club out, contact someone in the club and let them know what time period works best for you. Your help is greatly appreciated !

Amateur, Pro, Guide, Club, Association, Company: Amateur, Guide, Guide Broker, Fishing Club Member/Officer, Tournament Organizer.
Fishing Areas:
Lake Oahe / Missouri River & Eastern SD Glacier LakesSpecial Information to Share:
I have one bad vice, I love to chase the elusive Walleye!
GUIDING: I have a Full-Time job and I also guide part-time. I also have a list of Professional Full-Time Guides that I book for. If anyone is coming to South Dakota and would like to enjoy a day on the Wonderful Lake Oahe / Missouri River give me a call and I will set everything up. We are not here to take advantage of anyone. Lake Oahe is an excellent Walleye fishery but at times it also gets slow. If it looks like the lake has shut down we will let you know.
FISHING CLUB: I am the Secretary/Treasurer of the North Eastern South Dakota Walleye Club. The club was just started last year. The club keys off of Catch & Release. One of our goals is to have just as good fishing in the future as we do at the present time, if not better. Another goal is to get kids involved. A lot of kids come from single parent families and/or the parent(s) either doesn’t like fishing or doesn’t know any thing about fishing, we are here to try to fill that gap. The club is looking for new members and are open to all ideas. If you have a Fishing Club, drop me a line. Maybe we can help each other.
NORTH EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA WALLEYE CLUB MISSION STATEMENT
The NESDWC is a non profit organization set on a foundation of creating an atmosphere that will allow people of all skill levels to get involved in the sport of Walleye fishing; open to any man, woman or child wishing to have an enjoyable time with a desire to meet new people, improve fishing skills, promote the sport of fishing to others, complete in tournaments and aid in the conservation and education of fishing.FISHING TOURNAMENTS: I organize (2) fishing tournaments. Both tournaments are two person teams. The first one consists of 125 teams , and is held on Lake Oahe in June (I received 100 entry’s in the first 8 days this year). This is a private 3M Club sponsored event. The second one is held on an area lake and consists of 50 teams, this is also a two day tournament. They are a lot of work but they are also a lot of fun.
Drop a line, I would like to hear from you.
