On Sunday April 11, 1999 during the fifth qualifying event of the Illinois Division of Team Walleye, Rory Baraconi of Spring Valley and Dominic Culjan of Ottawa out fished the field of 42 teams with a a five fish limit weighing 13 lbs. 15.5 ozs. They were mainly fishing with jigs and minnows along with trolling crankbaits.

Finishing second was Steve Lotz (from Lena, Illinois) with a five fish limit of 13 lbs 15 ozs. Steve also had a tie for big fish honors with Dennis and Chad Huizenga (from Morrison Illinois) with a nice 4lb 3oz sauger.

Third place went to the team of Ron DeGraaf and Steve Szabo from Frankford, Illinois with lbs 9ozs.

Fourth place went to Chad and Dennis Huizenga with 13lbs 9ozs.

Fifth place went to Joe Sturna and Fred Travers from LaSalle, Illinois with 12lbs 11ozs
