USFA Team Walleye's second stop on the Michigan Circuit was on the Saginaw 
River system May 2nd. A total of 14 teams fished on a beautiful day with 
sunshine and temps in the mid 70s. A total of 43 fish were taken.  

The  river bite was fair with mostly small males while the larger fish had 
dropped back to the bay.   The river dropped 3 feet and the temperature rose 
10 degrees to the high 50s in one week's time.

The team of Craig and Kern Michaels captured 1st place with a 5 fish limit 
tipping the scales at 21.63.  They also nabbed big fish honors with a 5.88 
fish.  The Michaels were fishing the bar off Linwood in Saginaw Bay.  They 
were trolling Bad Dog Spinners on Off Shore Tackle Side Planers in 10 to 15 
foot of water.

The father /son team of Richard and Travis Chipelewski took 2nd place with a 
5 fish limit weighing 20.19.  They were also fishing the bay  off the 
Kawkawlin River mouth in 12 to 18 foot of water trolling spinners .

Greg Csercse and dave Kolb took 3rd place honors with a 5 fish limit weighing 
in at 16.88.  They were fishing the Tittabawassee river.  They caught over 50 
fish but could only make 5 reach the 15 inch mark.  They were using 
charteuese jigs tipped with minnows and crawlers.

Fourth place went to the team of Tom Witkowski and Bob Wrona with a 5 fish 
limit weighing in at 14.75.  they were also fishing the Tib using jigs and 
minnows.
 

The husband and wife team of Don & Jeanne Miner captured 5th place with 3 
fish weighing 9.32.  Don & Jeanne were fishing the bay trolling spinners in 
12 to 18 foot of water.
