Team Walleye - Lake Charlevoix 6/6/99 |
The 3rd tournament on USFA Team Walleye
Michigan Circuit was held June 6th on
Lake Charlevoix. A severe thunderstorm
came through at 600 A.M. causing the
fishing to be diffucult at best.
The local teams had a edge by knowing where
the fish move to in post front conditions
witnessed by the top four places
going to local teams.
The father son team of Brian and Keith
Warner captured 1st place with a 5
fish limit weighing in at 15pounds 5 ounces.
They also weighed in the big
fish of the tournament, at 4 pounds even.
They were trolling spinners on Off
Shore Tackle Side Planer boards and
bottom bouncers in 6 to 15 foot of water
in Olstrum Bay on the south arm.
Second place went to the team of Jerry
Gravedoni & Craig Butwell with a 5
fish limit tipping the scales at 13 pounds
13 ounces. They were live bait
rigging with 6 foot snells in 6 to 12
feet of water in the same bay.
Third place honors went to Tom & Robert
Harlukowicz with 4 fish weighing 8
pounds 6 ounces. They were also rigging
in the same bay in 6 to 15 feet of
