Thanks a ton for the info. Sounds like you have it made with little lakes in the area. Thats awesome. I think my Dad is looking more into Cedar Lake now because it's smaller size. Some guys from the camp we stayed at on Cliff were going to Cedar and catching good walleye. We would like to go the last week in June so I can hit the Musky opener. I have read lots of good things about Cedar lake. Do you think that would be a mistake? Do you think that is a good time of year to go for Musky and Walleye? I sure appriciate all the helpful information. I live in Iowa which is Deer and pan fish country so I need the help of a local fisherman! Its tough because everything you read on the internet sounds too good to be true. We will have fun no matter what and make the best of the trip. You have some beautiful country up there.
We just got back from a trip to Cliff Lake and did not do very well. I did catch my first musky which was a plus for me but my dad and some other guys on the trip spend more time going for walleye and pike. We only caught 1 walleye the entire week on Cliff Lake. I see that you know a lot about Lac Seul. Will we find Musky, Walleye, and Pike on Lac Seul? How difficult is it to get to know the lake? I have looked at it before and it's a big lake, rough water doesn't bother me too much as long as we can get out of the wind and fish, but rocks do bother me. We are trying to figure something out now for around the 3rd week in June of 2011. Do you think this would be a good time to go for all three species? If not when would be. We are also looking at Cedar lake. Thanks for any advice.

It won't be till the 1st week of August. I was just curious. The smallmbass just started spawning around here, now, in NC Minnesota. We used to come up, for years, on the muskie opener - 3rd Saturday in June. They were usually spawning when we were up. We'd always catch a few in Blue and always let them all go.
