Broncoguy47 I think 2002 pwt lake erie tournament Ted T had 53 and some change for one day and avg 46lbs for a 3 day tournament. Also Denny Lantzy had a basket over 50lbs

Papascott It was only 52 and change jason. Kind of bitter sweet for me. Pulled my largest tournament bag by over a lb and it was only good enough for 11th place. By 1pm we had handled 20 fish over 8 just couldn't pull a kicker lol

There were 22 teams out of 50 with bags over 40lbs!

5 fish limit

I believe someone weighed in a 5 fish limit for over 59 LBS on Erie this year in a local tourney. I was also told by the owner of Lake Erie Outfitters that the record is 61 LBS. I can't confirm the 61 but the 59 plus was posted somewhere on here or the other Erie site this year. That is big weight even with out a slot. I like the Cabelas National Circuit but that is a late date for Port Clinton. Long runs are gonna be the name of the game and if it is rough and it will that a bit of the fun out of it.

Don't forget about Graves in 2011 getting big weights at Erie too:

From: http://www.flwoutdoors.com/walleyefi...-on-lake-erie/

He weighed a 34-pound, 13-ounce limit today for a three-day total of 117 pounds, 6 ounces. It was enough to take home the first-place trophy and a check for $50,000. Day 1 and Day 2 were bags over 40 lbs.

I'd love to fish Vanity. Biggest problem is the waiting list to break into the tournament. It's a long drive, gas is expensive in the States, and not any cheaper in Canada.

but - the challenge for us to all come up and fish Vanity is a challenge without teeth - we couldn't enter if we wanted to - very few openings year after year once the priority group is processed. Keep it going up there, you've got a nice event.
