Baseline I must be weird.... I pull cranks and throw plugs. Some of them are the same baits.

Dacotah Eye I used to pull "plugs", then I pulled "plastic"and now I pull "cranks". Same question no matter how you say it. "What kind?".

Mtfish When I was a kid 25-30 years ago, we called the thin floating and diving Rapalas, Rebels and Bombers "plugs". Crankbaits were the short, fat wobbly things that bass fishermen use.

Hooks is a Canadian term used by Canadians only in my experience. First time we heard it we had to ask for an explanation.

Custom Eyes Another question: Which came first, calling them hooks or plugs? I still get a chuckle out of guys that call or message that they're sending in some "hooks" to be painted. First few times I had to verify "You are sending in crankbaits, correct"? lol
